Job Summary

Design, develop, test, and maintain web application features using C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, and SQL Server. Modify existing code to improve performance, integrate third-party APIs, and conduct unit and integration testing. Collaborate with senior developers and architects to implement technical designs, participate in code reviews, and resolve defects or performance bottlenecks. Support O&M tasks including bug fixes, vulnerability remediation, and minor enhancements. This role requires onsite work at a government facility in Washington, D.C., with a base salary of $130,000–$145,000. Candidates must possess Top-Secret clearance and 8+ years of software development experience. Technica provides mission-critical IT solutions to Department of Defense and Federal Agency customers across the DC Metro area.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top-Secret with SCI and CI Poly eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and/or experience
  • 8+ years experience as a software developer
  • 3–5 years of professional experience developing software using C# and the .NET framework
  • Experience with ASP.NET, Entity Framework, and SQL Server
  • Familiarity with architectural patterns and API styles (REST, RPC)
  • Experience writing and executing unit tests and performing integration testing
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and willingness to follow vulnerability remediation guidance
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate requirements into technical tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently when implementing assigned tasks
  • The position would be located at a government facility in Washington, D.C. and require work to be performed onsite
  • Any hybrid work schedule would require customer approval
  • Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
  • Basic understanding of DevOps practices or exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
  • Experience working with Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs) such as Entity Framework
  • Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL database design principles
  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
  • Relevant certifications in .NET development or cloud technologies
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
