Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain C++ applications in a Linux environment while participating in code design sessions and reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable software. Execute and support testing activities to guarantee reliability, performance, and stability, then collaborate with team members to solve complex technical challenges and deliver business-critical functionality. Apply sound engineering judgment for independent technical decisions, utilize scripting and automation tools for development processes, and leverage modern AI tools to improve productivity and software quality. This Software Engineering III position at Director level requires 4+ years of C++ experience, proficiency in Python, and familiarity with agile methodologies and CI/CD practices. Located in Montreal, Quebec, this hybrid role requires bilingual French and English skills.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in designing and developing C++ applications in a Linux environment
- Understanding of software architecture principles and strong computer science fundamentals
- Experience working with agile methodologies and continuous integration/delivery practices
- Proficiency in Python scripting
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity and adaptability to utilize modern AI tools
- Knowledge of French and English is required
- Experience working on Low Latency trading systems is a plus
