Job Summary
Conduct daily C++ development and maintenance of legacy systems, leveraging strong expertise in C++11, STL, pointers, and manual memory management. Reverse engineer complex code logic and create clear technical documentation while adhering to the software development lifecycle and version control systems using Git. Collaborate on projects requiring Java knowledge, including Spring and modern Java paradigms, alongside a solid grasp of object-oriented programming and design patterns. This role supports business needs in Columbus, OH, and Plano, TX, with a 5-day onsite schedule for candidates currently based in those locations.
Required Qualifications
- Currently based in OH, TX
- 8+ Years experience
- Strong hands-on experience in C++ (preferably C++11 or later)
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and memory management in C++
- Experience working with legacy C++ systems (including STL, pointers, and manual memory handling)
- Experience with Java and knowledge of modern Java paradigms (e.g., Spring, Java 8+ features)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to reverse engineer code logic
- Ability to create clear technical documentation
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control systems (e.g., Git)
