Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain C and C++ software for mission-critical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems supporting the Air and Marine Operations Surveillance System. Engineer advanced radar tracking, sensor fusion, and data correlation algorithms while integrating air, maritime, and ground-based sensor feeds into real-time operational displays. Troubleshoot second-tier software maintenance, optimize system performance, and ensure all changes comply with DHS and CBP configuration management and security requirements. Collaborate with data scientists on AI/ML-enabled threat detection and produce technical documentation including version descriptions and acceptance test plans.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Secret Clearance Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
- Demonstrated experience developing real-time, mission-critical systems
- Experience with Linux-based development and deployment environments
- Experience with sensor data processing, tracking systems, or complex data correlation
- Experience debugging and maintaining large, legacy codebases
- Bachelor's degree and 8-10+years of related work experience
- Advanced proficiency in C/C++
- Strong understanding of Real-time systems
- Strong understanding of Multi-threaded programming
- Strong understanding of Networked data inputs
- Strong understanding of High-availability systems
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Perforce or Git)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Familiarity with Radar or surveillance systems
- Familiarity with Sensor fusion and tracking algorithms
- Familiarity with GIS or mapping/display technologies
