Job Summary
C-17 Loadmaster Instructor responsible for ground-based training of foreign based C-17 loadmasters, including instructing and measuring training progress of foreign crew members who train in the established aircrew training curriculum. Candidates should be proficient in evaluating, diagnosing, and critiquing student performance, identifying learning difficulties, and prescribing remediation instruction. Provides C-17 Loadmaster procedures instruction in aircraft, classroom, and WST simulator environments, along with Crew Resource Management training. Serves as SME in curriculum development, lesson review, and updates to training policies and procedures; conducts briefings/debriefings, and administers scheduling, record keeping, and progress monitoring. Requires strong facilitation and data analysis skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, eligibility for international travel, and willingness to work various shifts. Prior C-17 instructional experience and formal instructor training are required or highly desired.
Required Qualifications
- Previously qualified as a C-17 Loadmaster Instructor and/or Evaluator
- Graduate of a formal instructor course
- Completion of a formal Instructor training course
- A.S. or A.A. degree or higher desired
- Former C-17 operational crewmember experience
- Formal AF Initial Qualification Instructional experience highly desired
- International assignment experience preferred
