Job Summary
The Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist (SRNA) Employment Track is designed to build a team of CRNAs at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Responsibilities of the CRNA include providing pre-anesthetic preparation and patient evaluations, developing individualized anesthetic care plans, administering anesthetic agents, performing regional anesthetics, and managing patients during anesthesia. Candidates must be senior students enrolled in accredited nurse anesthesia programs with current ACLS and BLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Be a senior student, in good standing, with less than one year of education, at an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and BLS by the American Heart Association
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) and Taxonomy code required at time of hire
