Job Summary
Direct clinical social work in an inpatient setting providing psychosocial assessments, family and group interventions, and discharge planning. Responsibilities include conducting psychosocial evaluations within 48 hours of case assignment, coordinating with treatment teams, advocating for resources, initiating applications for services, and collaborating with outpatient providers. Requires MSW or equivalent, LICSW eligibility, and ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure comprehensive discharge planning and aftercare for patients and families in a Massachusetts hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Licensed or license eligible (LICSW preferred)
- Inpatient field placement experience preferred
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
- Must be able to use a telephone
- Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours
