Job Summary
Assist in purchasing raw materials, components, and services for production while communicating with vendors to track orders, confirm delivery timelines, and resolve issues. Support price negotiations and contract reviews alongside senior buyers, maintaining accurate records of purchase orders and vendor information. Monitor stock levels and help forecast inventory needs by collaborating with cross-functional teams like Engineering, Accounting, and R&D. This role requires 2+ years of experience in procurement and inventory management, proficiency in MRP systems such as SAP, and strong attention to detail. Weekly pay and full benefits are included for this full-time on-site position in San Antonio, TX.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a purchasing or similar role in procurement and inventory management and vendor negotiations, to include contract and cost negotiation and ability to read and understand contract terms and conditions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders, invoices, and reports
- Strong computer skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and MRP systems such as SAP or similar
- Possess a strong understanding of supply chain management theory
- Excellent verbal and written communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and proactively identify and exceed customer expectations - both internal and external
- A proactive mindset—you don't just spot problems; you help solve them
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Exposure to vendor negotiations, inventory control, or supply chain theory
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
