Job Summary
Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers, negotiate savings on pricing agreements, and place purchase orders to meet delivery deadlines. Collaborate with QA, site managers, and trades foremen to manage inventory, forecast demand, and resolve material issues. Analyze tender quotations, verify invoices, and pursue credits for discrepancies. Maintain supplier relationships, monitor performance, and manage procurement logistics including PPE, mobile contracts, and sustainability reporting data. Attend development meetings to comment on costs and alternative materials while minimizing environmental impacts.
Required Qualifications
- Previous background working within a similar role, with experience in a purchasing or procurement role
- Background working within Construction or Industrial Sector
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic self starter
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent business acumen and analytical skills
- Adhere to Health & Safety policy & procedures
- Organised, structured and professional with a passion for excellent, striving to deliver the best
- Good IT skills including MS Office packages
- Full UK Drivers License
