Job Summary
The Buyer is responsible for procuring raw materials, finished goods, lab and office supplies, and indirect materials to support production, operations, and administrative needs. Responsibilities include managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely supply chain activities, supporting manufacturing and production sites, and providing administrative assistance. Key qualifications include an Associate's Degree in a related field, 3+ years of purchasing/procurement experience, and strong organizational and negotiation skills. The role supports multiple business units and includes backup for customer service and Accounts Payable.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of administrative and purchasing/procurement experience, with preference given to candidates with experience in a manufacturing environment or related chemical industry.
- Strong planning/organizational skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and negotiation skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other related field preferred.
