Job Summary
Execute procurement activities for raw materials, components, equipment, and supplies by preparing purchase orders, reviewing contracts for policy compliance, and maintaining accurate pricing and vendor data in the ERP system. Negotiate supplier pricing, approve invoice variances, and expedite orders or customer-furnished materials as needed. Conduct facility walks to inspect purchased items and collaborate with quality control to resolve defective goods. Search for special purchases and manage inventory records while handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Requires strong communication, mathematical reasoning, and trustworthiness with confidential information.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
- Strong computer skills including spreadsheets, ERP systems, and email
- Must be capable of following verbal and/or written instructions
- Must have good mathematical skills and logical reasoning
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to troubleshoot at unexpected and inconvenient times
- Trustworthy with highly confidential information
- Must be accurate with numbers with attention to details
- Can grasp, stoop, and squat or to perform duties with reasonable accommodation
