Job Summary
Buyer responsible for purchasing raw materials for SEWS-E’s manufacturing process, managing multiple suppliers, evaluating bids, negotiating pricing and delivery, and driving year-on-year cost reductions. Leads purchasing activities for mass production and development parts, interfaces with project engineering, purchasing, sales and manufacturing, and prepares quarterly results. Requires experience in automotive procurement, knowledge of plastics/rubber components, strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with MS Project and MRP systems.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of plastic and rubber parts
- Technical understanding regarding goods
- Understanding of the manufacturing constraints
- Good communication / negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Computer literate in MS Project, and systems including MRP
- Fluent written and spoken English
