Buyer

Prepare and place general purchase orders for supplies, equipment, and services at best possible value for St. Luke's Hospital, Medical Group, and Affiliates. Support daily departmental activities including purchasing, Materials Management Information System functions, contract management, group purchasing involvement, vendor relations, inventory management, cost containment, and quality improvement. Promote teamwork with all members of the healthcare team while performing duties consistent with the organization's mission and values. Requires knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and computerized purchasing systems such as McKesson Pathways.
