Job Summary
Buyer procures supplies/services for the Network, reviews requisitions for accuracy, coordinates with Accounts Payable and Suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies, researches and resolves receiving issues, and completes return processes. The role partners with Master Data Management on Item Master changes and maintenance, acts as a liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers, and collaborates with various departments for product review and network initiatives. Physical requirements include extensive walking/standing and the ability to lift ~30 pounds; education preferred is a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; minimum 2 years procurement experience, with healthcare industry experience preferred. Aligns with SLUHN’s mission and provides end-to-end procurement support across campuses and sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business management, supply chain management, or related field
- 2 years of experience in procurement/purchasing department
- Healthcare industry preferred
