Job Summary
Create, manage, and track purchase orders, material requirements, inventory transactions, and procurement activities using Strumis ERP software. Maintain accurate item master data, vendor information, material codes, and purchasing records within the system. Assist with resolving purchasing discrepancies, receiving issues, and inventory variances. Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, shipment schedules, order confirmations, shortages, and delivery discrepancies. Review material requisitions and verify purchasing information for accuracy, completeness, and proper approvals. Assist with sourcing materials and evaluating alternative suppliers to support operational demands and cost control initiatives. Manage inventory levels to minimize shortages, excess inventory, and production interruptions.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or manufacturing support experience
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, structural steel, or industrial environments
- Experience working with ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Operations Management, or related field
- Understanding of purchasing, procurement, inventory management, and supply chain operations
- Knowledge of manufacturing materials, shop supplies, and production support processes
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Strumis ERP software within a structural steel fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or manufacturing support experience
