Job Summary
Execute MRP-based purchasing activities by analyzing demand, inventory levels, and open orders to ensure accurate requisitions and supply alignment. Process non-MRP purchase requests, generate purchase orders, coordinate delivery schedules, and track order status while maintaining accurate ERP system data. Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts, resolve supplier issues such as shortages or late deliveries, and partner with operations and engineering teams to support site needs. Act as the primary coordination point between suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 3–5 years of hands-on purchasing or sourcing experience
- Experience working in ERP/MRP systems and managing purchase orders through the full purchasing lifecycle
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., data analysis and lookups)
- Understanding of inventory management principles within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of sourcing processes, supplier coordination, and order tracking
- Self-starter who can quickly adapt and operate with limited structure or supervision
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Effective communicator with the confidence to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, occasionally ambiguous environment
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and manage supplier interactions professionally
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to navigate a dynamic team environment and shifting priorities
