Job Summary
Senior Buyer will own the end-to-end product lifecycle across assortment strategy, vendor management, pricing optimization, and digital execution, driving profitable growth with cross-functional leadership, P&L accountability, and a data-driven approach. Responsibilities include defining product strategy, managing enterprise-wide assortment planning, optimizing pricing and promotions, building scalable merchandising processes, governing product data, leading digital merchandising, and developing a high-performing team of Buyers and Coordinators. The role emphasizes cross-functional alignment with Planning, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, eCommerce, and IT to deliver measurable improvements in sales, margin, and inventory productivity. The position requires leadership of a senior merchandising function, strong vendor negotiations, and expertise in data analysis, ERP/PIM familiarity, and site-navigation/digital optimization. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field
- 7–10+ years of progressive experience in buying, merchandising, or category management, including leadership responsibility
- Proven ownership of category or portfolio-level financial performance (sales, margin, inventory productivity)
- Advanced expertise in retail math (gross margin, turnover, sell-through, productivity metrics)
- Strong experience in vendor negotiations, sourcing, and supplier relationship management
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams
