Job Summary
Buyer-Reman is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and placing purchase orders for operations and facilities, focusing on cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and supplier relationship management. Responsibilities include developing RFQs/RFPs, coordinating with project managers and field staff to understand material needs and timelines, researching, evaluating, and managing purchase orders in accordance with company policies and budgets, expediting orders to minimize delays, developing relationships with vendors and suppliers, onboarding new vendors, maintaining purchasing records and documentation for audit and reporting, ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and safety standards, assisting with cost tracking, verifying delivered quantities against POs prior to payment, and conducting weekly receipt inspections as needed; experience with local supplier networks and logistics coordination is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or field support experience (construction, energy, or industrial environment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of materials, equipment, and vendor sourcing in facility services and operations and repairs
- Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and purchasing/ERP systems
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
- Experience in operations, repairs and facility services (Preferred)
- Familiarity with local supplier networks and logistics coordination (Preferred)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills (Preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel to project site(s), if needed
