Job Summary
Manage a portion of the private wagon and locomotive fleet portfolio by identifying needs, conducting market research, and developing procurement strategies based on Total Cost of Ownership. Build supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and pricing, and monitor wagon usage and costs to ensure an optimal fleet. Prepare reports on purchasing activity and cost savings, while ensuring all activities comply with regulations and organizational policies. Work primarily in an office setting with occasional supplier visits and potential travel for industry events. Master's degree in Engineering with 3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in railway, is required.
Required Qualifications
- Master level degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role
- Valid Drivers licence
- Fluent English, French or German
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Self-driving and motivated
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- Engineering preferred
- An experience in railway (in locomotive or wagons)
- Having a inclusive and collaborative team spirit
- Able to form good relationships with supplier and be able to manage key stakeholders
- Able to prepare strategy, to establish partnership with key accounts
- Languages: Fluent English, French or German will be an added value
