Buyer/Quoter Specialist

Job Summary
Prepare customer quotations by analyzing bills of materials, material pricing, labor requirements, and manufacturing costs. Source electronic components, raw materials, and services from approved suppliers while soliciting, evaluating, and negotiating supplier quotations, lead times, pricing, and terms. Create and manage purchase orders, maintaining accurate purchasing and costing data within ERP/MRP systems. Partner with Program Management, Engineering, Production, and Sales teams to support new product introductions, customer quotes, and ongoing production activities. Monitor supplier performance, material availability, and supply chain risks while proactively identifying cost-saving opportunities and resolving shortages.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, quoting, supply chain, or buyer/planner functions within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to interpret bills of materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and component specifications
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field preferred
- Experience in electronics manufacturing services (EMS), printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), or related electronic manufacturing environments preferred
