Job Summary
Procurement professional responsible for planning and procuring goods and services that meet quality specifications and delivery requirements. Manages purchase orders from Oracle and requisitions, ensures correct account codes and approvals, and troubleshoots discrepancies with Accounting. Monitors supplier performance, negotiates best total cost of ownership, and assists internal stakeholders in identifying alternative sourcing options when risks or disruptions occur. Requires experience in purchasing, RFQ preparation, ERP/Oracle familiarity, strong Excel/Office skills, basic accounting knowledge, forecasting ability, and excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in purchasing or related field
- Experience with international transactions and customs handling
- Familiar with the preparation of RFQ documents
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles linked to the purchasing function
- Clear understanding of supply & demand and able to execute forecasting skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to apply basic logic and understanding to carry out written or verbal instructions
- Ability to read and comprehend correspondence and memos
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and unit conversions
