Buyer Planner

Responsible for planning all material requirements for a specific product line and for the purchase of products in accordance with established company policies and procedures. Ensures timely delivery of product to support the production plan and maintains relationships with vendors. Manages finished, work-in-process and raw inventory to align with department goals; resolves inventory discrepancies; coordinates with customs broker on international imports; develops and implements corrective actions for late or short shipments; communicates price changes and negotiates with suppliers; issues manufacturing orders and supports forecast-driven scheduling. This role requires collaboration across suppliers and internal teams to optimize lead times, inventory levels, and cost while ensuring compliance with US customs and import requirements.
