Job Summary
Plan, schedule, and release production and purchase orders to maximize on-time delivery while minimizing inventory and operational costs. Analyze data to support raw material supply and finished goods demand, including creating production schedules and job order priorities. Review and maintain replenishment systems, and establish cost, lead time, and inventory reduction programs with suppliers. Collaborate daily with shop floor management to resolve efficiency issues and interpret technical requirements with engineering and quality assurance. Actively support Lean manufacturing processes and suggest improvements in cost, quality, and productivity. This fully onsite role requires a minimum of three years in a manufacturing environment with SAP experience and occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, or materials planning within a manufacturing setting
- Working knowledge of replenishment systems such as Kanban, visual management, or similar inventory control methods
- Experience using SAP or a comparable ERP system
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision
- This position requires occasional travel
- Must be able to fly or drive out of town to attend meetings with customers and suppliers or attend training
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization
- Must be a 'U.S. Person' or qualify for a license that permits them to hold the position
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and related business systems
- APICS/ASCM certification or related supply chain certification
