Job Summary
Generate, place, maintain, and expedite purchase orders for production materials, MRO, and indirect purchases using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Track shipping status, ETAs, and supplier commitments to ensure on-time delivery while researching pricing and sourcing options. Serve as the primary onsite contact for supplier deliveries, receiving issues, and resolving production-related supply concerns. Manage vendor-managed inventory programs, purchase finished goods based on MRP requirements, and maintain accurate purchasing data. Partner with Production, Sales, and Purchasing to resolve supply chain issues and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory.
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of purchasing, buying, or expediting experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel) and Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Knowledge of purchasing, expediting, and MRP processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication, follow-through, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
