Job Summary
Procurement-focused Buyer Planner role responsible for optimizing standard commodity procurement through data-driven forecasting, leveraging annual spend for cost reduction, and establishing long-term supplier relationships. Responsibilities include negotiating pricing, terms, and quotes; managing BOM/Buyout processes; coordinating with Warehouse, Accounting, and project teams to ensure timely material deliveries; monitoring market price fluctuations; and maintaining accurate prices in Timberline. Expected to identify long lead items early, participate in project meetings, and handle material returns and vendor inquiries to support project scheduling and cost control.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Strong negotiating skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
