Buyer/Planner

Buyer/Planner responsible for continuity of material supply, quality, and cost management in a global supply chain. Establish specifications for optimal purchase/production quantities and quality levels, select suppliers based on product type and partnership potential, negotiate contracts covering cost, delivery, and penalties for late delivery, manage production schedules for make items, support NPI/R&D/Validation/Sustainability projects involving new raw materials or processes, manage the full purchasing cycle (requisitions, purchase orders, follow-up, goods receipt, final payment), monitor supplier performance via the Supplier Scorecard, maintain planning master data in ERP, define inventory strategies, minimize inventory investment, identify process improvements with lean tools, and control incoming freight and handling costs. The role is 100% onsite, five days per week.
