Job Summary
Develop and execute purchasing strategies to secure favorable pricing and optimal terms for equipment, goods, and services. Partner with reliable vendors and suppliers while assessing, managing, and mitigating risks across multiple categories. Negotiate and close deals, ensure timely delivery of requisitioned items, and track key functional metrics to reduce expenses. Manage procurement projects and agreements, reporting directly to management on effectiveness. This role supports Poly-America's production of polyethylene products including trash bags and agricultural films.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Solid judgment and decision making skills
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of staff throughout the company
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in purchasing or sales preferred
