The position requires independent evaluation of current practices, adherence to applicable laws, and the ability to strengthen procurement operations through analysis of sources, supplier materials, and market conditions. Key duties include researching sources of supplies, pre-qualifying bidders, planning resource files, evaluating bid content, and ensuring effective vendor relations; SOX controls may apply. Strong knowledge of modern procurement policies, vendor needs, and the ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- Thorough technical experience in large-scale procurement of diverse architectural, engineering, and construction services.
