Job Summary
Purchase materials according to technical specifications, price, delivery schedules, and terms while ensuring all activities align with corporate purchasing policies. Manage end-to-end procurement and planning activities, including material ordering, supplier scheduling, purchase order administration, delivery tracking, invoice reconciliation, and compliance with contractual and legal requirements. Develop and execute inventory and replenishment strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, support production demand, and minimize stock-outs or excess inventory. Build strong supplier relationships by monitoring performance in quality, delivery, and sustainability, then proactively resolve supply, quality, and claims issues to ensure uninterrupted operations. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and business stakeholders to align forecasts, support engineering changes, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years OR Associate's degree with 4+ years of supply chain, planning, purchasing, or related experience
- Strong Microsoft Office Experience: (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Advanced Excel)
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

- Proficiency in SAP, Power BI supporting engineering change implementation and material planning processes
- Knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, demand planning, and procurement best practices in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated analytical and independent decision-making skills, with the ability to identify issues and drive effective solutions
- Customer-focused professional with a proactive mindset, sense of urgency, leadership initiative, and experience applying root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
