To ensure top priority trends and elements are represented in the site’s overall assortment. Knowledge of women’s RTW brands and current trends. Responsible for assortment selection based on planning, customer needs, trends, competitors, and merchandising with minimal supervision. Analyze sales history and inventory to evaluate product needs; oversee all aspects of re-cuts, re-orders, and re-colors; follow calendars and deadlines with minimal supervision; manage brand budget and category/skus with Macro budget in mind; identify opportunities and risks in-season through sales performance analysis. Train, manage and support the Buying Assistant. Balance multiple brands with strategic thinking and meticulous attention to detail. Review sales results to strategize timely markdowns and slow-seller RA’s. Manage buys, POs and order approvals in collaboration with upper management and analysts. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or Business and 3-5 years of women’s buying experience; strong vendor negotiations, open-to-buy mastery, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
