Job Summary
Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for indirect categories, including processing purchase requisitions, converting them into purchase orders, and issuing RFQs/RFPs. Procure standard COTS products and ET/IT hardware while coordinating technical specifications with internal engineering and IT teams. Develop supplier relationships, negotiate favorable pricing and terms, and resolve delivery or invoice discrepancies. Navigate specialized aerospace compliance standards, traceability requirements, and quality certifications for aerospace-related materials or services. Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with internal policies, contractual terms, and audit requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of procurement/purchasing experience
- Demonstrated hands-on experience procuring COTS products and IT/technology hardware
- Strong negotiation and strategic supplier management skills
- Proficiency with major ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) to process requisitions and track procurement workflows
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and procurement compliance requirements
- Professional supply chain certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM, or equivalent)
- Experience with strategic sourcing and category management
