Job Summary
Buyer II located in Moses Lake, WA manages purchasing for assigned commodities, develops buying strategies to meet cost, inventory, delivery, and quality goals, and acts as the liaison between manufacturing, engineering, and the supply base. Responsibilities include supplier interaction on quality, cost, forecasts, and performance; collaborating with Corporate Sourcing to maintain qualified suppliers; implementing process improvements; generating management reports on supplier performance and financial highlights; and supporting supplier onboarding and business reviews. Requires independent, self-motivated work style with strong communication, problem-solving, and Excel/MS Office skills; experience with ERP/MRP/Lean and supplier-management practices. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; 3+ years in Purchasing/Materials/Supply Chain preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Purchasing, Materials or Supply Chain professional
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with ERP, MRP, Kanban, Lean Manufacturing
- APICS CPIM certification or ISM certification beneficial (preferred)
