Job Summary
Partner with cross-functional project teams to support new product development, execute sourcing activities, and manage supplier negotiations. Communicate business requirements and timing expectations to suppliers and internal stakeholders while assessing the supply base against objectives. Prepare and review OEM NPD agreements, identify new technologies, and evaluate suppliers using Total Cost of Ownership considerations. Assist with cost improvement projects, maintain cost models, and support contingency planning for supply chain risks. Research market conditions to support material cost forecasting and collaborate with technical personnel during early design stages. Requires 3-5+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing; some international travel is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Some travel (10%+) will be required including international travel
- 3-5+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing
- Excellent customer service and computer skills
- Ability to read blueprints
- High level of interpersonal and organizational savvy
- Demonstrates creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving attributes
- Intermediate knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods/processes
- This position requires a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check, which will be administered after a conditional job offer is extended. A negative drug/alcohol test result is required for employment. Refusal to take the test or a positive result may disqualify a candidate from further consideration.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
- 5+ years of negotiating experience
- 3+ years of OEM supply chain experience
- CPSM/CPM
- SAP experience
- Prior experience working with New Product Development
- Exudes leadership qualities
