Job Summary
Execute procurement activities to ensure timely availability of materials supporting manufacturing operations. Manage supplier relationships to achieve performance targets related to quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness. Monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve supply, delivery, or quality issues. Identify and qualify alternative suppliers or components for end-of-life materials and supply continuity risks. Analyze demand, inventory levels, and material requirements using ERP and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems. Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to support production schedules and business priorities. Support inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining required service levels. Participate in supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings and operational improvements. Utilize data analysis to identify trends, improve procurement performance, and support informed business decisions. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Degree with no prior experience
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of procurement or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to travel occasionally to supplier locations as business needs require

- Procurement experience supporting electronics manufacturing, including electronic (EE) and electromechanical (EM) components or printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA)
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory management, and supplier relationship management
- Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments (FDA and/or ISO standards)
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights
- Effective negotiation skills with a proven ability to achieve cost and process improvements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Multilingual capabilities
