Job Summary
Based onsite at Rocket Lab's Toronto facility, the Buyer II will source materials after evaluating vendor capability, price, delivery needs, and vendor performance; ensure on-time delivery of materials; own supplier relationships; manage RFQ processes to secure competitive bids; collaborate closely with Engineering/R&D teams to meet procurement requirements; provide status updates on purchase orders and deliveries; negotiate terms to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals; maintain purchase order data in the ERP system; and travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience (6+ years total experience)
- Proven ability to source, onboard, and negotiate pricing with suppliers
- Proven knowledge of purchasing processes
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of time

- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Team-oriented mindset
