Job Summary
Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers, evaluate and compare quotations based on pricing, lead time, and quality, and manage purchase orders for production materials and consumables. Analyze supplier pricing and spend data to identify cost savings, maintain accurate purchasing records within the ERP system, and monitor procurement KPIs including supplier delivery performance and quality metrics. Resolve supply disruptions, pricing discrepancies, and supplier non-conformances while coordinating with Operations, Quality, and Warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability. Track supplier scorecards, manage onboarding activities, and prepare procurement reports to support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management within a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems for purchasing, supplier management, and procurement reporting
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, cost analysis, including experience identifying, analyzing, and preventing material shortages in a manufacturing environment
- Experience utilizing purchasing metrics, supplier scorecards, KPI reporting, and performance management tools
- Experience creating and managing purchase orders, issuing RFQs, obtaining supplier quotations, and coordinating supplier activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify and address supplier, procurement, and supply risks
- Ability to evaluate supplier quotations, pricing trends, and procurement data to support purchasing decisions and cost savings initiatives
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong problem solving, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Power BI reporting tools
