Job Summary
Conduct sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management for MRO materials, office supplies, chemicals, and tooling to support printed circuit board manufacturing and maintain production uptime. Review Material Action Reports and expiring material reports weekly to make purchasing decisions and verify quote validity. Manage purchase orders, analyze material requirements through the MRP system, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and proper material arrival. Identify qualified suppliers, compare prices for cost-effective decisions, and ensure all orders conform to purchasing policies and AS9100, ISO13485, ITAR, and DoD regulations. Comply with safety, ethics, and corporate guidelines while reporting material status to Program Management and participating in daily meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a buyer in a manufacturing environment
- Strong background in indirect purchasing
- Flexibility to adjust readily to new situations while effectively dealing with ambiguity, stress and uncertainty
- Quoting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products with heavy emphasis on Excel
- Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret MRP requirements and recognize errors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of standard purchasing practices
- Ability to read/write/speak English proficiently
- Proactive individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and effectively address challenges as they arise
- U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C.1324b(a)(3)
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test which include screening for illegal drugs and marijuana
- 100% on site availability (No remote work)
- No relocation requirement
