Buyer

Lead the direct materials procurement function, directing purchase activities for components and finished goods, including PO transmission, exception management and supplier confirmations. Oversee invoice resolution for quantity/price discrepancies and coordinate with external suppliers and accounts payable to administer an efficient procure-to-pay process. Communicate weekly on supplier exceptions (expedites, past due POs, cancellations, move actions) and engage with suppliers on delivery compliance, cost, freight/routing guides, and quality reconciliations. Generate and share weekly/monthly reports and data analyses (backorders, scorecards, lead times, Kinaxis supplier alerts). Create alerts for Supplier Requirements reporting and facilitate issue resolution between suppliers and business-unit buyers. Support Sourcing processes, phase-in/out analysis for re-sourcing, and SAP data maintenance. Collaborate with Marketing to strategize quotes/re-sourcing for product lines and assist with PFR projects by attending and offering sourcing input. Maintain and update purchasing data in SAP timely. Requires collaboration across departments to meet procurement goals and improve supply chain efficiency.
