Job Summary
Buyer role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on supporting purchasing of materials and components. Responsibilities include creating, placing, and managing purchase orders; communicating with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and order status; tracking open orders and ensuring on-time delivery; monitoring inventory levels to support material planning; resolving order, shipment, and invoice discrepancies; maintaining accurate purchasing data in ERP systems; partnering with production, engineering, and finance teams; supporting supplier performance tracking and continuous improvement efforts; and assisting with cost savings and process improvement initiatives. The position emphasizes hands-on experience in supply chain and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver materials that meet quality and cost targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
- 0–2 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Administrative Support (internships welcome)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
