Job Summary
As a Buyer, own the full procurement cycle for landscaping materials — from executing orders and negotiating with suppliers to spotting issues before they reach the customer. You will work independently, move fast, and bring precision and problem-solving to every task. Execute orders end-to-end with accountability for quality, speed, fill rate, communication, and price; negotiate supplier terms and apply value engineering to maximize order profitability; catch procurement issues early and follow through on resolution; manage a high-volume workload across competing priorities; collaborate with your team lead and senior buyers, stepping in where needed; follow established processes and flag improvements when you see them. Bonus points for startup or high-growth experience and familiarity with ERP or procurement platforms. English fluency required. Location: Montreal, QC, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years in procurement, operations, or supply chain
- Track record of executing POs independently with strong attention to detail
- Confident negotiator who builds lasting supplier relationships
- Calm under pressure — you solve first, escalate when it counts
- Strong prioritization skills across multiple simultaneous orders
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- English fluency required
