Buyer

Buyer is responsible for managing the purchasing process and improving in-stock fill rates across assigned sites and customer accounts. Responsibilities include reviewing and adjusting replenishment orders, managing open purchase orders, communicating cost, quantity, and defect issues with vendors, and ensuring accuracy of replenishment master data (lead-time, forecasting, standard package, and buy multiples). Additional duties include daily stock procurement for assigned sites/accounts, monitoring critical items below minimum threshold, addressing backorders, meeting inventory and procurement metrics (turns, days on hand, planned order aging, fill rate, PO confirmations, PO date management), onboarding new customer accounts, coordinating supplier returns and non-conformities, assisting with NPI processes, negotiating supplier terms, coordinating inbound material delivery schedules, and shipment bookings for imported materials.
