Job Summary
Source and procure ingredients, packaging materials, and operational supplies to support production schedules. Create, issue, and manage purchase orders while monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock. Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules, resolving issues related to order discrepancies or quality concerns. Maintain accurate purchasing records and procurement documentation within ERP systems. Analyze purchasing trends to identify cost savings and process improvements, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company standards. Collaborate with Quality, Production, Warehouse, and Finance teams to support an efficient supply chain.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field
- Two to four years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in food manufacturing, food production, or a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with ERP or procurement systems
- Ability to affectively manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
