Job Summary
Manage inventory levels and service targets for assigned items and suppliers by driving daily replenishment duties, monitoring KPIs, and executing purchase orders. Analyze economic order quantities and forecasts to create efficient POs while controlling decision rights on timing and execution. Proactively review out-of-stock reports to make purchasing decisions, including selecting substitute products, and coordinate with internal partners to recover supplier delays. Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to optimize freight consolidation and receiving practices, while working with category management to maintain supplier relationships. Drive continuous improvement within the team by sharing operational learnings and standardizing processes.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of direct inventory management/supply chain experience
- superior oral and written communication
- strong analytical skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers, sales, field partners and other business contacts via telephone, email, and video conferencing
- Must have a general understanding of logistics and connection in support of an efficient distribution model
- Must be able to deal with high pressure situations to meet daily/weekly timelines with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to function in Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to commute to US Foods location (Perth Amboy, NJ)
- Must be located near a US Foods location

Desired Qualifications
- SCPO experience
- Four-year degree
- Minimum 3 years purchasing experience
