Job Summary
Coordinate supplier pricing, lead times, and sourcing information to build accurate and competitive quotes for existing and new business. Obtain raw material and outside processing quotes, validate supplier capabilities, and enter cost data into the Epicor system to support RFQs. Interview suppliers to secure pricing, availability, and minimum order quantities, then review quotes for accuracy and scope alignment. Communicate pricing risks and sourcing concerns to the Estimating team while expediting responses to meet customer deadlines. Maintain procurement records and support continuous improvement of the quoting process through improved data accuracy and supplier response times.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of industry buying, procurement, or estimating support experience
- Minimum of 3 – 10 years of progressive work experience in buying, sourcing, or supply chain support
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Proficient in reading blueprints
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with ERP systems; Epicor experience preferred
- Strong initiative with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting estimating, costing, or quoting activities
