Job Summary
Procurement of electronic sub-components and raw materials to support customer service goals, while minimizing landed cost and optimizing company cash flow. Develop sourcing strategies, assist in Master Service Agreements, proactively address component shortages, present improvement opportunities to purchasing leaders, and lead negotiations to minimize PPV. Participate in Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events to eliminate waste and improve Growth, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Interpret electrical schematics for sourcing decisions, manage Product Life Cycle and obsolescence, and collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, QA and Production. Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience in Electronics components sourcing
- Knowledge/proven background in the Electronic Component Distribution Industry
- Relationships with Electronics Distributors and Manufacturers desirable
- Strong understanding of Electronics Market and component types desirable
- Exceptional negotiation skills
- Experience implementing lean concepts (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Leadership, 5S) desirable
- BS/BA preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering desirable
- CPIM, CSCP, Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma Green Belt certifications desirable
