Job Summary
Source materials through multiple supply channels to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliable delivery, while creating and managing purchase orders in D365. Track deliveries, expedite orders as needed, and proactively communicate supply risks or delays. Manage supplier performance including delivery, quality, and service compliance, and participate in supplier negotiations within defined commercial parameters. Monitor and optimize inventory levels to balance service and working capital, and conduct cost analysis and total cost of ownership evaluations to support sourcing decisions. Partner with Operations, Planning, Sales, and Finance to ensure alignment between procurement activities and business needs. Occasional travel (up to 20%) for supplier visits and cross-site support; PPE required when entering manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles
- Must be able to lift push pull up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to enter company manufacturing environments and supplier locations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
- Professional certification (e.g., SCMP) is considered an asset
- Proficiency in ERP systems (D365 preferred) and Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel
- Strong commercial and analytical skills with a focus on cost optimization
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, supplier performance metrics, and cost drivers
- Effective negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
