Job Summary
Conduct daily procurement activities including issuing purchase orders, managing inventory reporting via MRP/ERP systems, and sourcing standard materials at optimal cost. Execute detailed execution of quoting, PO placement, and reject resolution while communicating delivery timelines and quality issues to suppliers. Engage in ERP implementation functions, data management, and system clean-up; perform research to find capable suppliers for unique, new, or custom fabricated parts. Provide continuous training and support to current and future buyers as the team evolves.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology/Supply Chain Management/Business Administration/Logistics/Finance or equivalent education
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong MRP/ERP knowledge and experience
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to track open issues and drive timely closure on a variety of projects
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time and workload to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines requiring competing resources
- Analytics and negotiation strategies
- ERP/MRP experience
- Able to engage in a team environment to meet company goals
