Job Summary
Buyer/Customs Analyst responsible for ensuring compliance with export/import laws and regulations, overseeing product classification, preparing export documentation, issuing purchase orders, fostering supplier relationships, maintaining tariff codes and country of origin designations, and supporting NAFTA/USMCA and trade programs. The role includes providing regulatory guidance on imports/exports, supporting supply chain security initiatives (PIP-CTPAT), assisting in policy development, and collaborating with the buying/planning team to meet department and company goals. The position requires adapting to regulatory changes, strong communication and organizational skills, advanced Excel/Office proficiency, and the ability to work as part of a cross-functional team. The candidate must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with USMCA declarations
- Strong communication, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Solid analytical skills
- Proven track record in project management
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility for assigned tasks outside of assigned role
- Legal authorization to work in Canada – sponsorship will not be provided for this position
