Job Summary
Develop and implement purchasing strategies for electromechanical components, sourcing new vendors for electrical and mechanical parts while negotiating pricing and delivery terms. Maintain positive vendor relationships, resolve issues, and ensure all purchased items meet quality and safety standards. Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to guarantee on-time delivery in the right quantity and within budget. Manage inventory levels, analyze market trends to reduce costs, and develop purchasing reports. This role supports the Industrial Division's supply of drivetrain components and electronic control systems for on- and off-highway vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing electrical components and equipment
- Master's degree on a Supply Chain discipline
- Familiarity with the IATF / ISO16949 norm
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and schematics
- Experience with inventory management software and systems
- Familiarity with purchasing regulations and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Plastic, Metal and/or electronic vendors and suppliers
- Basic knowledge of Plastic, Metal and/or electronic components and equipment, including their applications and technical specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including data manipulation and presentation
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with inventory management software and systems, Syteline CSI
