Job Summary
As a Buyer, you will perform daily material planning and purchasing activities to maintain inventory levels. Responsibilities include collaborating with customers, managing aged inventory, and ensuring accurate entry of purchase transactions. Required qualifications include a minimum of two years in purchasing/inventory management, a high school diploma or GED, and proficiency in MS Office. Familiarity with supply chain management and transportation logistics is essential.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of two or more years of experience with purchasing/inventory management in a sales/distribution environment
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing inventories of raw materials
- General understanding of standard Supply Chain management processes
- Basic understanding of transportation and logistics requirements
- Ability to conduct studies, analyze and interpret statistical data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency using MS Office software
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Prior experience with SAP
- Experience in the Aerospace industry is a plus
